Gig Plank Paintings

The 'Canvas' for these paintings is a part of the original planking salvaged after the recent restoration of the Victorian Scillonian pilot gig - Czar. Don't miss out on a unique piece of history and a beautiful and accurate representation of the gigs, the plank supply is extremely limited as once they're gone - they're gone.

The paintings are finished with 2-3 coats of clear satin varnish that not only preserves the wood and the painting but brings out the richness of colour and grain of the Cornish elm planks.
The Gig Plank paintings are framed in white washed obeche wood box frames that shows them off to their best, acrylic glazing is used to guarantee a safe postage.

After another gig restoration on Scilly, Sophie has recently aquired a few original planks from the Golden Eagle so either keep an eye on this website in the near future or contact Sophie if you'd like to get your order in early.
