Handcrafted silver jewellery made with beautiful sea worn glass collected from the shores of Scilly...

The seaglass pieces are all found washed up on Scillonian shores, shaped and tumbled by the sea over many years, every piece unique. Pale aquas, rich blues, deep greens and frosted whites (with the odd special find of a pink or lilac...) are just some of the stunning colours in which seaglass can be found. All complimented by silver or gold - crafted, forged and hammered by hand.

Sophie Garratt works from her home studio on the tiny island of Bryher. After initially training as a silversmith in 2001, Sophie has always loved working with silver and as a lifelong collector of seaglass from Scilly's beaches she decided to set up business. Already established as a local artist on the islands, Sophie finally introduced her jewellery line in the family run gallery, Garratt Studio, in summer 2009. After a great response, the jewellery line is really taking off so watch this space for plenty of new additions this season...
